Hank's birthday celebration was a bit toned down...I am sure, yesterday. May 11 is a special day as it is also my niece and sister's birthday. On Sunday, while tailgating before the Dead show at Shoreline with Brently Von Dross, Jamie Strohecker and Peter White, we decided to give Harry a ring. Lo and behold he picked up the phone and sounded great! A few Harry-only tidbits. He said the chemo is kinda like the worst hang over you've ever had....and doesn't go away. He is just completing round 3, I believe and mentioned that he was proud to tell the Doc "thank you sir, may I have another" His resolve is strong, spirits are positive. He even was planning on heading into work on Monday....awesome!!
Anyway, Hank really appreciates the great support, love and mojo everyone is sending him.

Ok, this is my first time doing this, so I hope I don't screw it up! This is Camille and I have been following the wonderful support Hank's friends have been providing him. I also reached out to Marie Gibbs Grimes after I learned about Bud, thought she should know. Dennis keeps me in the loop and just resent this blog address.
ReplyDeleteMike, I think your eldest graduated from St. Franny's this year, right? Where will she be in the fall? My youngest, Kendall, will be a freshman at SCU and my son, Beau is currently a sophomore there. Cami, is applying to USF, as she loves the fog in SF.
Hank, my heart goes out to you as you battle this nasty cancer.
